Art of, for, and with the Body

I make art of, for, and with the Body.

The Body, oftentimes my own, is my muse and primary medium. Through portraiture, Body adornment, and wearable art, I transport myself into a world where anything is possible; a world where aliens, goddesses, and mermaids are real; a world where I feel truly myself. These worlds are places of beauty–worlds that embody color, emotion, femininity, and Magic. This sense of Magic happens when something seemingly unattainable suddenly feels real.

When my Body is depicted in a setting of Magic, it makes me feel like I am truly there. If I draw myself with wings, I feel them on my back. If I paint onto myself extra eyes, I see through them. If I paint myself in the ocean, I can now breathe underwater. 

I am working on expanding this Magic to others, in hopes that they too will feel that their hopes and dreams are reachable; that they too are beautiful; that they too are Magic.
